Our inspiration: Dignity and accessibility for all
Silver Crown was created from a simple truth: everyone deserves to feel seen, cared for, and dignified — especially as they age. After witnessing how many adults over 40 struggled to access basic grooming due to mobility challenges, chronic pain, or lack of transportation, Crystal knew something had to change.
Silver Crown is more than a mobile salon. It is a sanctuary on wheels. A place where aging bodies are honored, where lived experience is respected, and where self-care becomes accessible again.
Our mission: Restoring confidence and independence
Silver Crown Mobile Salon provides in-home beauty and wellness services for adults 40+. Our mission is to restore dignity, confidence, and independence by eliminating transportation barriers and delivering compassionate, professional care directly to clients’ homes or facilities.
Traditional salons are not designed for aging bodies, chronic pain, mobility limitations, or clients who cannot safely travel. Many adults experience isolation, reduced self-esteem, and declining mental health due to lack of access to grooming and wellness services.
Silver Crown brings licensed cosmetology and wellness services directly to clients. Our approach is trauma-informed, culturally competent, and tailored to the physical needs of aging and disabled clients. Grant funding will support vehicle customization, equipment, licensing, marketing, and community outreach to scale operations and reach more clients.
Meet Crystal: Our founder's dedication
Crystal has been a dedicated professional in the beauty industry for over 30 years. Throughout her career, she’s owned and managed multiple successful salons, building a reputation for excellence and a deep commitment to her clients. After retiring due to a shoulder injury, Crystal realized that many of her elderly clients were struggling to access the salon services they needed.
They couldn’t easily travel, and that meant they were missing out on the care and confidence that come with regular personal care. Determined to continue serving the clients she cares so deeply about, Crystal decided to re-enter the beauty world in a new way. She founded Silver Crown Mobile Salon to bring beauty and wellness directly to the homes of adults 40 and older, especially those who are elderly or have mobility challenges. Her mission is to ensure that these valued clients are never forgotten and that they continue to receive the personal, dignified care they deserve.
